ICOM IC-7100 HF/50/70/144/430MHz Multi-band, Multi-mode Transceiver with touch screen more Manufacturer: icom Reference IC7100
With the purchase of an IC-7100 we give away the RS-BA1 remote control software and the RC-28 remote encoder.
The IC-7100 is a multi-function transceiver offering coverage on the shortwave (HF), 2-meter and 70-centimeter bands, and supports all modes of operation, including D-Star for digital communications. This unit is designed for versatility both at home and in the field, with a remote control unit making it ideal for installation in vehicles. Its bright and clear LC touch screen makes operation of the unit extremely easy, making control intuitive and comfortable.
In terms of reception technology, the IC-7100 incorporates a 32-bit DSP (digital signal processor), which ensures high-quality reception. This processor allows access to a number of advanced functions such as dual passband tuning, noise reduction, CW auto-tuning, autonotch (automatic interference suppression), and various adjustable filter modes without the need to purchase additional crystal filters. All of these cover a wide frequency range from 30 kHz to 199.999 MHz, and from 400 to 470 MHz in all modulation modes, providing great flexibility of use.
The transmitter is also robust, offering 100W of power on all HF bands (160 to 10 meters), plus 50W on the 6 meter, 2 meter and 4 meter bands, and 35W on the 70 cm band. The built-in SWR meter allows for precise tuning to optimize antenna performance, and DSP technology ensures a clean output signal, as well as including a high-quality voice processor and compressor. The IC-7100 allows for the connection of two antennas, one for the HF bands and one for VHF/UHF.
The unit features a compact and portable design. The control unit measures 16.5 cm wide, 6.4 cm high and 7.85 cm deep, weighing just 500 grams, making it very handy. The main unit is also small, measuring 16.7 cm x 5.8 cm x 22.5 cm and weighing 2.3 kg, allowing the IC-7100 to fit easily into tight spaces. Additionally, it can be powered using 13.8V/22A, making it suitable for both fixed and mobile operations, and ideal for expeditions and field use.
