The Yaesu FT-710 Field is a variant of the FT-710 series designed specifically for portable operation. Unlike other models in the series, the FT-710 Field does not include the SP-40 speaker to reduce weight and space, it comes with a carrying strap for easy transport.
This equipment offers a transmission power of 100 watts, which is adjustable in a range of 5 to 100 watts, allowing the power to be adapted according to the communication needs. Its RF input stage uses SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology and builds on the experience of the FT-DX101 and FT-DX10 transceivers, ensuring high-quality performance.
Additionally, the FT-710 Field is equipped with a series of band filters designed for the amateur radio bands, helping to eliminate unwanted signals outside the band of interest. It also incorporates a 250 MHz high-resolution synthesizer that allows simultaneous reception of multiple signals, which can be useful in situations where several frequencies need to be monitored at the same time.

The new FT-710 AESS is a compact design but provides 100W output, utilizing the advanced digital RF technology introduced in the FTDX101 and FTDX10 series.
