We are very pleased to introduce the new Yaesu FTX-1F HF/50/144/430 MHz Multimode Field Transceiver. This device marks a significant advancement in radio communications technology and has been designed to meet the needs of the most demanding users. It is important to note that this is only a preliminary announcement, and more specific details will be released at a later date.

The Yaesu FTX-1F is a portable transceiver that integrates SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology, providing 6W output power when used with the 5670mAh Li-ion battery pack. This configuration allows for a stand-alone operation time of up to 9 hours on the HF bands using SSB mode, and up to 8 hours on the V/UHF bands in FM mode, based on a 6-6-48 (transmit-receive-standby) duty cycle. Additionally, the device is capable of up to 10W output power when connected to an external DC power supply, providing increased flexibility and performance in various situations.

Notable features of the FTX-1F include:

  • Multi-Mode Operation : This transceiver supports multiple modes of operation including SSB, CW, AM, FM and C4FM digital mode, making it a versatile tool for a wide range of communication applications.

  • High Resolution Touch Screen : The device features a 4.3-inch color touch screen that incorporates 3DSS (3-Dimensional Spectrum Stream) technology, allowing detailed, real-time viewing of the signal spectrum, thus facilitating signal identification and tuning.

  • Simultaneous Dual Band Operation - One of the most innovative features of the FTX-1F is the presence of two independent receiver circuits that allow simultaneous operation on two bands, either on the same band or on different bands. For example, SSB communication can be conducted on the HF bands while simultaneously conducting digital C4FM communication on the V/UHF bands. Possible configurations include combinations such as HF+V, HF+U, V+V, U+U, V+U, and U+V, providing exceptional flexibility for operators.

  • Powerful and Clear Audio Output : The FTX-1F is equipped with two speakers that ensure powerful and clear audio output, which is essential in situations where communication clarity is crucial.

  • Customization and Expansion Options : The transceiver offers the possibility of attaching an optional automatic antenna tuner on the rear panel, along with the high-capacity 5670mAh battery. In addition, the optional cooling fan, which is especially useful for extended operations in FT8 mode, can also be integrated with the antenna tuner, creating an all-in-one design on the rear panel.

  • Outstanding Reception : Thanks to its advanced RF front-end and low-noise reference oscillator, the FTX-1F offers exceptional reception characteristics, allowing it to pick up multiple signals with great accuracy even in complex signal environments.

  • Interference Reduction : The transceiver is equipped with a high-speed 32-bit IF DSP, which includes YAESU's renowned interference reduction technologies such as SHIFT, WIDTH, NOTCH, CONTOUR, APF, DNR and NB, ensuring clear and uninterrupted communications.

  • WiRES-X Support : The FTX-1F supports WiRES-X operation, enabling greater connectivity and access to global communication networks.

  • Advanced Memory Functions : The PMG (Primary Memory Group) function allows you to record and monitor up to 5 frequently used frequencies, while the MAG (Automatic Memory Grouping) function categorizes memory channels by bands (HF/VHF/UHF/AIR/OTHERS), facilitating quick access.

  • Portable QRP Design: With up to 6W output power from its integrated lithium-ion battery, this transceiver is ideal for QRP operations, providing the mobility and efficiency that field operators need. With an external power supply, it can reach up to 10W of power.

  • USB Connectivity : The device's USB ports allow CAT operation, as well as audio input and output, and transmit (TX) control, offering easy integration with other devices and systems.
