ICOM IC-R8500 RECEIVER 0.1 to 2000 MHz The IC-R8500 covers a wide frequency range continuously from 0.1 to 2000 MHz *, with resolution of 10 Hz, while maintaining a high receive sensitivity. You can be sure that if there are communications or broadcasts out, you can hear them with a minimum of interference from other signals. |
RS-232C interface There is an RS-232C connector on the rear panel of the receiver to connect directly to a PC. The data communication format Icom CI-V lets you monitor and control your PC from many of the functions of the receiver, as well as read data or levels of the receptor, such as AF gain, squelch level (squelch), intensity of received signal, besides receiving frequency, channel names and many other functions. There are two methods for entering a specific frequency using the tuning dial or by directly entering the frequency on the keyboard. Use the method that best suits the situation. There are several tuning steps available to operate a wide variety of stations. These are 10, 50, 100 Hz, 1, 2.5, 5, 9, 10, 12.5, 20, 25, 100 kHz and 1 MHz Furthermore, it has a programmable tuning step. The programmable tuning step can be set (independently for each memory channel) to a value of between 0.5 to 199.5 kHz, in steps of 0.5 kHz.
They provide 3 antenna connectors: an SO-239 type and an RCA connector for frequencies below 30 MHz, and an N-type connector for frequencies above 30 MHz A signal strength meter silencing (S-meter Squelch) allowing you to receive only signals stronger than the preset levels An analog meter signal strength indicator for easy reading and the center frequency Speech synthesizer (requires optional UT-102) announced the setting frequency Timer off (selectable 30, 60, 90, 120 min.) Offered REC and REC remote terminals to control the tape recorder to record signals and reception (reception frequency can also be recorded when you have installed the optional UT-102) | |
