ROE meter / Wattmeter 100 w. 26-30 Mhz. The SWR-430 test instrument is a compact function meter. It is designed to measure any 50 0hms antenna, used to operate in the citizen band (CB 27Mhz).
It is designed to be used in base or mobile stations. Furthermore it can be permanently installed between the antenna and the transmitter without any loss of power. SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) meters and their use in amateur radio.
An SWR meter is used to measure the standing wave ratio of an antenna. The standing wave ratio is a measure of how well the impedance of the antenna matches the impedance of the coaxial cable and the radio. An ideal SWR is 1:1, indicating a perfect impedance match. The further the SWR gets from 1:1, the greater the amount of energy reflected and the less efficient the antenna will be.
SWR meters generally consist of an analog or digital meter and a series of controls to calibrate the measurement. These meters are connected in line between the radio and the antenna, and measure the amount of power transmitted and reflected. From these measurements, the standing wave ratio can be determined and adjustments made to the antenna to optimize it.
To connect to CB stations you need a hose not included in the meter
