ref:
TM-D710G 144/430 MHz FM TRANSCEIVER

KENWOOD is pleased to introduce the new TM-D710G, a version with GPS included
of our popular TM-D710E VHF / UHF Dual Band FM Mobile Transceiver. The new
Model "G" incorporates a factory installed GPS module in the control panel - the
firmware is updated similarly to the TH-D72E GPS handheld transceiver.

The TM-D710G has a built-in 1200/9600 bps TNC and can use different APRS functions such as location exchange, alphanumeric character messages, weather information, and PC-free messaging .

Many APRS features are now available . The TM-D710G has more than 60 menus to enjoy even more APRS features

Includes instruction manual in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German

MAIN FEATURES

GREAT TRANSMISSION POWER (50 W)

The TM-D710E provides an impressive 50W of radio frequency power (VHF and UHF), with a choice between high, medium and low power.

DUAL RECEPTION IN THE SAME BAND (VxV, UxU)

In addition to simultaneous reception on both the VHF and UHF bands, this radio can receive two frequencies on the same band. This means, for example, that you can have the call channel and the local channel, or the repeater channel and the local channel, on the same band.

PROGRAMMABLE MEMORY (FIVE IN ONE)

For additional versatility, the TM-D710E has a programmable memory to store five full operating profiles, which you can instantly recall with the push of a button. Each profile includes parameters such as display mode, frequency spectrum, and memory mode. It can also be used to switch between five VFO frequencies.

1,000 MULTIFUNCTION MEMORY CHANNELS

There are 1,000 divided memory channels for storing essential data such as transmit and receive frequencies, incremental frequencies and the frequency of tones, plus an additional 10 for programmable scanning. You can identify each channel with up to six alphanumeric characters (memory name function). In addition, memory data can be edited and stored on a PC using the optional PG-5G programming interface cable and MCP-2A memory control software (freely downloadable from the Kenwood website).

MULTIPLE SCAN

In addition to VFO scan, program scan, MHz scan, memory scan, and call scan, the TM-V71E offers memory bank scanning - the thousand channels are grouped into ten banks for selective scanning . Features also include scan resume (by time, operator, and search), memory channel lock, tone scan, CTCSS scan, and DCS scan.

REVERSIBLE FRONT PANEL

For added installation convenience, the removable front panel can be rotated to mount the transceiver upside down, ensuring that the speaker is not obstructed.

CHOICE OF 2 BACKLIGHT COLORS

To maximize visibility, the backlight color of the large LCD panel can be alternated between warm amber and cool green.

SILENCER VIA DIGITAL CODE (DCS) WITH 104 CODES

In addition to CTCSS (42 tone frequencies), the TM-V71E is equipped for DCS (104 codes). Whichever code is chosen, the squelch will only open for reception if the other party uses the same code.

EchoLink Sysop MODE FOR NODE TERMINAL OPERATION

When the TM-D710E is connected to a PC (which has the necessary Windows compatible software installed) using the PG-5H accessory, it can function as a node terminal for EchoLink. EchoLink connects radio amateurs over the Internet using VoIP technology: any transceiver with access to a node can connect to any other in the world, as long as it also has access to a node. It is also possible to access the EchoLink network directly from a PC.

To register for EchoLink (using your caller ID), access the official website at www.echolink.org.

MEMORY EchoLink (AUTOMATIC DIAL)

A maximum of ten DTMF memory channels dedicated to EchoLink can store call signs (or conference names) and node numbers. Memory control is also possible via a PC with the MCP-2A software.
